SuperMail Home.    SuperMail Disk Space Usage Check Features & see why we call it 'SuperMail'.

The thing to remember is that essentially you have your own virtual server, and that the space contracted for includes the facilities for some options.

If you enable webmail - then the Squirrelmail webmail setup will take about 11mB of your contract space.

Any mail HELD on the server will also count towards your contract quota as it takes up space there. This is why we recommend downloading your emails instead of keeping them on the server.

You can always check what space is available, on the Site Administrator Level for the whole domain & on the individual User Administrator level for the resources used by each of your users.

Customers should login as Site Administrator & regularly check the space available. We have found that users can ignore directives NOT to store incoming mail on the servers & unless eacg user has a limit set - they can stop all mail arriving because their usage has filled up the available space.

CRUCIAL SETTING: User Disk space Limit. Due to the above the Site Administrator should ALWAYS set a limit to the space available for EVERY individual user! If this is done - then if a user fills their quota, they will no longer receive emails - but all other users will NOT be affected.

SUMMARY: To avoid all users having their mail blocked becuse the whole domain is full - set EACH USER to have a web space limit! Site Administrator / MAILBOXES/USERS / Manage Users / Edit User / Disk Quota. The Default is '0' which gives them the full space - change this to your desired number & Save it.
